The media have a role to play in prevention, by mentioning prevention in every child abuse story. The community must be reminded and understand that prevention is something we all can do to help the families in our lives, our communities and our state.
“Our goal is to have prevention mentioned in every child abuse story, because we want the community reminded constantly that prevention is possible and that we all have a role to play in supporting children and families.”
-Amanda Brunson, executive director, Prevent Child Abuse Louisiana
